see the problem for me is that i get REALLY bad cramps. to the point that i've gotten light-headed, vomitted, and have to stay in bed. my sister even had to go to the hospital once. but i agree, most girls totally blow it out of proportion and complain too much.

All your points are great, exactly what I had in mind but I didn't know how to put it to paper. :) V, face it. You can't win when you're obviously wrong. No matter how much you argue an untrue point, it will never become true. Think of this: if women were what you say they are, why is it that we have gotten to where we are now? First of all, I mainly was arguing over intellectual abilities, and equality, not over who is "physically superior." I understand that men are often stronger, did I say that they weren't? I'm not denying men are, in general, stronger and faster than women. This is a fact, and saying otherwise would just be ignorant. However, I don't think this necessarily makes men physically superior. For example, women live longer, have a higher pain tolerance, and are more resistant to genetic diseases(because we have 2 X chromosomes and males only have one). In the past, when people had to hunt to eat and physical strength meant survival, men would undoubtedly be considered physically superior. But in today's society, when survival isn't based on speed and power, I'd rather live longer and have a higher tolerance for pain than be slightly faster and stronger.

I believe completely that men and women are equals. Claiming one has had a greater impact is pointless because depending upon your perspective, men or women could have made a greater impact. its stupid to say that men wouldn't exist without women because equally to women, they require men for the y chromosome. However its also stupid to say that women are inferior because they have done less in the world. women have been held back from opportunity in the past but that does not make them inferior. women in any realistic circumstance in today's world are just as able as men. However those of us arguing with people like V must be careful not to say things like "if anything, women are superior." If this was a joke, ha. I'm on mine as I type and my vagina aches, my Midol is at home, and it feels as if a midget is kicking my lower stomach with steel-toed boots from the INSIDE. That said, it's the second day so it's not as bad; at least I can move without wretching. It depends on the girl. Sometimes periods hurt like hell and you crave every tasty thing you see. other times, it's just a nuisance. I have one friend who passes out from her pain and she's got decent tolerance. all the crankyness is USUALLY just in the head. not always though.

Everyone that says they're not bad don't realize that every girl is different. I get awful cramps to the point where I can hardly walk. Plus I get super exhausted during mine, so it's hard to stay awake during school. [and YES, I am getting a solid eight to ten hour night's sleep.] I don't vomit or anything, but it definitely sucks when you go to change your pad and realize you leaked. And when your brother refuses to drive you up to the gas station to get some chocolate because he doesn't know what's going on, I want to tear up my house. =| And then when they come during a trip to the beack or something, you just want to murder your uterus or something. Periods SUCK. But then again, us girls don't know what it's like to be guys . . . so we have no idea who has it worse, so there's no point arguing. =]

Its horrible. My cousin cant do anything when she has hers.She has to have a tampon AND pad to try and stop the flow. She can't go to school, or even get up some days. Some girls are really lucky, others arent. I mean, try getting them halfway through an exam... cause thats not awkward or anything and you don't even get the time back for you exam. So guys need to suck it up and be glad they are the lucky ones who didnt get them. (All that said, I'd hate to be a guy. Not cause they have it harder but cause im proud of being female)

Mine used to last 8 to 9 days and I would throw up the first 2. Then, I got the cramps that made my stomach feel like it was full of sharp tennis balls. Plus, mine was still irregular after having for 3 years. Now it only lasts about 4 days, but with worse cramps. Oh yeah, and I'm anemic, so I get real weak and light headed.

okay, im a girl with really heavy periods. Honestly, as long as i have a tampon on and i dont get cramps from it, its fine. Its not something to get mad at and hate so much. I dont mind it too bad, because its not like hell for me. The cramps hurt sooo badly though, but i get them like every other time i get periods. And tampons kind of absorb everything, so it doesnt bother me because i dont have much to clean up. Its really not that bad. And EVERY girl has it. So yea... :P

One time I started at the begginingof the school day and I had no ibuprofen so I had to sit through the cramps. During band class, they were so bad, I just sat there holding my clarinet with bone white knuckles crying my eyes out because of cramps. I couldn't so much as lift it. Oh please! Before I was put on birth control my periods never stopped! I bled very heavily 3 months strait with a one week break in between periods! I had to wear 2 pads and completely cover my underwear in pads cause I'd bleed all the way up to the top of my butt. I leaked at school alot and missed so much school. I had cramps all the time. I'm on the pill now and it's better but still very heavy and the cramps are worse. How about I kick you in the balls for a week strait while you bleed out your dick?
