+82 Monopolistic ISP's who over charge for service, advertise third world country internet speeds, are slow to upgrade their infrastructure, throttle your bandwidth, sniff your packets and cap your data usage should burn a fiery death and be fined into oblivion by the government. amirite?

Only if they were made monopolistic through gov't action (which many were, but not all.) Otherwise, just don't buy from them, that's your choice. I don't want the gov't destroying legitimate private businesses. Ever.

That's the point of being monopolistic, you have no choice but to go with them for broadband internet because they have your city or town in a chokehold.

Last I checked, nobody's forcing you to buy internet at all. It's up to you to decide whether their prices are worth it or not. Unfortunately it's generally the city or town that has decided to only allow one or two providers in; that's the real issue. That stifles competition.
