But you can't make money off of trees just standing there, so obviously we have to cut them down and make housing developments to make more money. And new building are created to make more money, because once our environment is gone we can live off of money!

Yeah, houses aren't important, let's go live in cardboard boxes...Oh wait, then people would complain about those ruining the environment...

Both are important. Without houses, we have to live outdoors. Without trees, we'd have to - oh right we'd do nothing without trees because without oxygen we'd all die. Bummer.
