+639 The photographers who take the pictures for the food on menus really don't get enough credit and recognition. The amazingness of their work makes us sometimes order food solely on the picture itself, amirite?

If you look, they have food designer people. If you look on YouTube you can find video's Most of the foods are half cooked and if you ate them you would be sick

And then the food that you actually get looks *nothing* like the photo. :/

What Anon said is true, and also, sometimes that food isn't even real, but prop food. I don't know how common that is anymore; I'm sure the half-cooked and sometimes chemically-treated method is cheaper. That's not to even mention the brightening and other stuff that gets done to photos in editing, as well. I'm not saying being a photographer isn't a hard job or w/e sometimes, just that they have a lot of help. Even the models you see in magazines don't really look like their pictures most of the time.
