Why does this friend have to be gay... or sassy? Are gay people more likely to look after you than straight people? Do gay people have superpowers? Do they need to be distinguished because you think it's fashionable to have a gay friend? Or are gay people just people like everybody else? Personally, I would feel gravely insulted if the only reason you were my friend was because of my sexual orientation.
