i'm one of the luckier ones. I don't get sunburn that easy, just tan, but sometimes i get sunburn on the cheeks or shoulders, but no where else, and if i do get sunburn, it usually goes away within a day. just a dab of sunscreen on the face and shoulders, and i won't get sunburn.

I like my pale skin, but I hate that I have to reapply sunscreen so often. I went to the pool last Friday for 3 hours and I reapplied sunscreen to my entire body 5 times and I still got sunburn in some places (but not my shoulders, thank goodness!) My sister didn't apply at all and she didn't burn a bit.

sometimes i don't mind my light skin but its when people put stereotypes to it. Since I live in California and I go visit some other state people as me "If your from California then why are you so white?" It pisses me off and the first time someone said that to me I was only 11 and was stunned.

I'm fairly sure that those that get sunburned (rather than tanning easily) are the ones more likely to get skin cancer in the first place, since their skin is more sensitive to the harmful effects of the sun. Which sucks for me :/ On the bright side, I won't look like a leathery old bag, because that IS from tanning.

I think I've only been sunburned three times in my life...but I'm not exactly tan, so I'm not sure what that makes me? :o

You can be tanned and STILL burn, with or without sun protection :S

im super pale, so i burn if i dont reapply my spf 60 sunscreen every 10 minutes if i laugh really hard my face goes red, and people love to tell me just how red my face is... its soooooo much fun :|
