fireworks release gunpowder. Gunpowder is really bad for the environment- plus there are a ton of other harmful chemicals in it. BUT on a happier note, guess what?! Disneyland uses gunpowder free fireworks.... go disneyland!

Celebrating the birth of a country is in no way a bad thing.. Besides if you're not going to use the earth you live on, what's the point of living on it?

I don't see how this post in any way is degrading to the 4th of July... celebrating the US is not a bad thing.... but fireworks are generally bad for the environment.

You IDIOT. Fireworks don't affect the ozone layer, the ozone layer problem was solved some years ago when ppl banned the use of CFC in aerosol gases - that's the only hing that was hurting the ozone layer... Try to keep up will ya?
