If you have "morals" (ie. No sex before marriage, etc) then shouldn't you have some sort of moral about treating people right and not bashing them if they don't have the same morals as you? amirite?

I want to agree with you but this doesn't really make sense. You're treating morals/ethics like taste or opinion - something that other people can accept others' differences in - but they are a strongly-held belief. A lot of people think that keeping quiet about something they see as morally wrong is supportive of whatever is wrong. They see their "bashing" as "doing the right thing." They're not being amoral; they're doing what they think is right.
