It's also sad when people can barely spare $25 to give to Haiti, but actors say, "I only gave them 2.5 million dollars. I still hope that helps." ONLY 2.5???

That's why you give what you can and nothing more. I'm sure some people can skip getting the newest phone and donate their 50 bucks to people that really need it. If the family is barely making ends meet no ones is going to expect them to send a hundred bucks to Haiti.

By we, I was talking about our government. Yes, I'm fortunate, my family has quite a bit of money. But I don't see a problem in individual people donating money out of the kindness of their hearts, I see a problem with the government. Did you hear that the government was trying to take money out of tax refunds for Haiti? What about the families that NEED every single cent of their tax refunds? Yes, they're one of the poorest countries in the world. Yes, we should help them, they can't help themselves. But the US needs to watch itself, we're not in the greatest position either.
