Goebles and his family, Hitler, and Eva Braun (his girlfriend, I'm pretty sure they weren't married) took cyanide pills and then each shot themselves (the cyanide was a backup in case the shooting in the head didn't do the trick) in his bunker under the Reichstag because they knew the Soviets were about to take Berlin. His personal guard then cremated all of them so the Soviets couldn't desecrate their bodies. The Russians claimed to have the last remnants of his body up until the 70's I think when DNA tests revealed the remains were that of a woman.
And he did have a mental disorder in the sense that he had an abusive childhood and terrible self-esteem after he was rejected from Austria's top art school (he wanted to be an artist as he was growing up). That, and by the end of the war his brain had been fried by untreated syphilis.
Actually he and Eva got married in secret (atleast that's what the history channel said) because he claimed he was married to the country and wanted his followers to keep thinking that way.
The people who "No Way"ed this just show how fucking stupid and annoying some of these amirite users are. This post is one of the very few that literally EVERYONE would agree on. I mean come on, the dude killed millions... The "No Way"ers just did so to be really stupid.
From what I saw on history channel, and what my dad told me he shot himself, but I could be wrong. My Hitler trivia isn't always up to par. Fun fact: Hitler wen to rt school before trying to take over the world.
@296400 (guci): From what I've read, he killed his wife, dogs, and the men in the bunker with cyanide. But after he saw how much pain they were in while dying, he shot himself instead of poisoning himself.
Oh, and yes, he was a regular soldier in WW1, highly honored, actually, wounded at some point, I believe. But I can neither confirm nor deny the surviving a shell blast story.
The Nazis didn't destroy the bunker immediately, the Soviets did partially after the fact, but part of it still remains. And the Soviets did claim to have his final remains (part of a skull and a femur, I believe) but it wasn't him.
And Stalin didn't betray Hitler, it was Hitler who broke the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact when he invaded the USSR thinking he should betray Stalin before Stalin betrayed him. He thought he could take Moscow before winter came...he was wrong, and it's one of the three mistakes which cost him the war, along with the Operation Sea Lion debacle (attempts at bombing and eventually invading the UK) and the fact that he allowed the French and British to escape across the Channel after he took France.
actually he broke the pact when he invaded poland as the pact stated the two countries would split poland evenly and hitler took over all of poland, they were enimies before operation barbarossa(nazi invasion of russia and the battle of stalingrad)
In Mao's Cultural Revolution, he encouraged people to attack, and sometime kill, people who were against the communist reform. I'd call that a conflict.
alright, hitler killed himself and forced his wife to kill herself. he was a soldier in ww1 but was hospitalized due to injuries to his eyes from poisonous gas.
His wife poisoned herself and he was supposed to do that too, but he chickened out. Then he was supposed to shoot himself but was too much of a coward and had one of his nazis shoot him. They nazi soldiers attempted to burn the bodies upon his request. The bodies didnt burn fast enough and are in the hands of the russians. All of this was done because the russians and americans were quickly approaching and surrounding his city. The russians were closer than the u.s. though and he didn't want to end up in their hands because they would torture him.
Yes, but Mao's murder spree came mostly from the Cultural Revolution, an internal ordeal, not an international conflict. And Mao was very much a Han Chauvinist, up to you if you consider that racist.
No, I agree. He wanted to go into architecture, but he was rejected from two art schools and decided to go into politics.
Those colleges must've been kicking themselves. Imagine how different the world would be if he had gone to art school... Jeez, it's almost frightening.
Of course I do. I never said I didn't. But to instigate something like a holocaust, Hilter must've been very fucked up inside and probably just needed someone to understand.
He poisened himself and his girlfriend (not wife) and before he did that he tested it on his dog to make sure it worked. I'm positive. So yeah he was really really bad.
they belive he shot him self because the bunker he was hiding in everyone had commited suicide they poisened the kids and shot them self but they blew the bunker up and no traces of hitlers body were ever found, also what he did for germany at the time was not bad for his people , after ww1 the germans were reated as the scum of the earth and hitler brought a new hope to his people and raised there economy to one of the most powerfull for a short while and his actions really helped motivate the german people, honestly there would have been a great chance they would have one if one stalin never backstabbed hittler and two hittler didnt make the same mistakes as napolean when going into russia
And the remorseless slaughter of millions and millions of innocent men, women, children, babies, and elderly human beings doesn't mean anything to you?
it wasnt really hitler that did all this though every nazi had a choice, i mean if i look at some one in class and tell them hey go kill the teacher and every student in the class who is gonna be labeled the wrong person?? but if i told one class to kill the whole school it would probably all come down on me because its much easier to blame one single person.
okay, let's take your metaphor like this: Hitler is the student that tried to kill the teacher, the other students are the nazis. In Hitler's case, when he tried to kill the teacher, he convinced everbody else in class to help out, and they zealously obliged, then killed the teacher for real.
No shit Sherlock.
Yes what a brilliant post
totally what i thought when i saw it!!
This is the understatement of the century.
took ya long enough to realize that. Jking

Or they did it to get reactions like yours.
Hitler was a very intelligent man, but used his power for all the wrong reasons.
who said no way!?
People probably voted it down because it's not very original.
also the may have meant it in a sarcastic way??
Hitler was also a vegetarian, had one testical and didn't like fish in round bowls. But some Hitler thought he was doing good....
Who would want to marry hitler? must be one rather fucked up chick.
Hey, maybe it wasn't his fault, he mightve has some severe mental disorder, after all he did kill himself. (Totally kidding.)
(time-to-dance):
he killed himself??
Yep. Shot himself. He didn't want the enemy to have the satisfaction.
he also killed his wife, i think
why!>?
Umm from what i remember he didn't shot himself. Both him and his wife killed themselves with fire i think.
But after he saw how much pain they were in while dying, he shot himself instead of poisoning himself.
o thought she killed herself first..because he didnt want her to get caught but he didnt want to die alone..?
i think he poisoned her and shot himself. couldnt swear to it, though.
who knows... ooh.. google probably does!!
ooh i didnt know that...
is it true that in ww1 his trench was like shelled ((shelled...?)) and he was the only one that survived... .
I'm not sure if he was actually ever IN the trenches. I'd have to look it up.
@296356 (MEEEE): Please don't even bother commenting on world history or anything other than twilight and Harry potter for that matter.
Hilter was a regular soldier in ww1
I didn't even comment on this thread except for saying no shit Sherlock...
orly?
I think he also shot his dog before shooting himself. Wouldn't want the enemy to have the dog either

Valid point.
You're confusing the Revolution of 1949 with Mao's Cultural Revolution. Two different things.
In Mao's Cultural Revolution, he encouraged people to attack, and sometime kill, people who were against the communist reform. I'd call that a conflict.
But the Kuomintang had already fled to Taiwan, the Cultural Revolution wasn't a hot conflict between opposing sides, it was a purge.
It was still a form of conflict, although a much less noticable conflict than the holocoust.
alright, hitler killed himself and forced his wife to kill herself. he was a soldier in ww1 but was hospitalized due to injuries to his eyes from poisonous gas.
I worry about those 42 No Ways.
His wife poisoned herself and he was supposed to do that too, but he chickened out. Then he was supposed to shoot himself but was too much of a coward and had one of his nazis shoot him. Ya think?
I feel bad for Hitler. No one liked his art. ):
Yeah, but he killed 6 million people.
Caused the deaths of 60 million. Bloodiest conflict in human history by far.
You know, I heard that Mao Zedong killed even more people than Hitler did. At least he wasn't racist..?
Yes, but Mao's murder spree came mostly from the Cultural Revolution, an internal ordeal, not an international conflict. And Mao was very much a Han Chauvinist, up to you if you consider that racist.
It wasn't an international conflict, but he still encouraged children, teenagers, and college students to beat people to death.
Im not disputing that, I'm just saying that it isn't the bloddiest conflict in history because it wasn't a conflict.
Technically, it was a conflict between communists, and non-communists in china.
Maybe it could've been prevented if someone like his art..
No, I agree. He wanted to go into architecture, but he was rejected from two art schools and decided to go into politics.
Those colleges must've been kicking themselves. Imagine how different the world would be if he had gone to art school... Jeez, it's almost frightening.
*liked. ):
http://xkcd.com/29/
Lol.
I can't even believe u. Y dontnu feel bad for the over 12 million people that died???
Of course I do. I never said I didn't. But to instigate something like a holocaust, Hilter must've been very fucked up inside and probably just needed someone to understand.
He poisened himself and his girlfriend (not wife) and before he did that he tested it on his dog to make sure it worked. I'm positive. So yeah he was really really bad.
They did get married in secret, I'm about 95% sure about that.
they belive he shot him self because the bunker he was hiding in everyone had commited suicide they poisened the kids and shot them self but they blew the bunker up and no traces of hitlers body were ever found, also what he did for germany at the time was not bad for his people , after ww1 the germans were reated as the scum of the earth and hitler brought a new hope to his people and raised there economy to one of the most powerfull for a short while and his actions really helped motivate the german people, honestly there would have been a great chance they would have one if one stalin never backstabbed hittler and two hittler didnt make the same mistakes as napolean when going into russia
