+330 You know the words blind and deaf, but you have absolutely no idea what to call someone who has no sense of taste, smell, or touch, amirite?

Unfortunate?

dead?

Can't smell is anosmia, I looked it up. But I did read a cool blog a while back about one of those people, really fascinating

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Can't taste, is a smoker. Can't touch, handless...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Their called dumb i'm not saying this in a mean way but they acctually are

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Heaven forbid they would lose the sense of grammar as well.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dumb means someone who can't speak.

Paralyzed?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Touch would be paralyzed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i thought paralyzed was when you couldn't feel anything or move anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not necessarily. You can lose touch but still be able to move. Kind of like a super-permanent extreme case of your arm falling asleep.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It would suck to lose all 5 senses...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously. What would be the reason to live?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just alone with your thoughts. :<

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Would you even be able to have tangible thoughts, if you could never hear, see, touch, smell, or taste? That would be horrible...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you had them but then lost them over time, then yes you would. But if you were born that way, then no. I don't think it would be horrible though, because you wouldn't know what you're missing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. I'd probably want to kill myself. But then again, I probably wouldn't know how.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This brings up a question. When people can't see/hear, they ARE blind or ARE deaf. So when people can't smell, would it be correct to say "they ARE anosmia"? Because it sounds better to me to say that they HAVE anosmia or HAVE tactile anesthesia.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe they're anosmic?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

MC Hammer has a song about people who can't touch.
