This happens all the time with me. I have gray eyes, which is, for some reason, amazing to everyone I know, and they'll just stare at me and say I have cool/weird eyes. Talk about awkward.

ahahaha, it's really odd when you say that you have green eyes (like me) nobody takes your word for it and stares at your eyes for a REALLY long time, as if you would be lying about that!
