It wouldn't have been balanced if they both tried to lay on the door. It would have flipped. But he could have found another piece of something to float on. =
Jack may have fit on the door but the door would have sunk. Assuming the decorative door is 7 feet tall, 2 feet wide and 2 inches thick. The door could have only held 152 pounds. This is assuming the water was at 4 degrees Celsius and had a salt content of 3.5%. Jack and Rose's combined weight would have caused the door to sink. Jack could not have fit on the door. P.S. They weren't bracelets, they were handcuffs...watch the movie bitch.
Don't want to ruin this, but if you would have watched the movie, I mean, WATCHED it, you would have seen that, after Rose got on that wardrobe door, Jack attempted to get on it too, but almost rolled it over - so he gave up and told Rose to stay there. I've seen the movie several times - about 20, I think. Every time I saw it, the scene was the same. :)
Let's not forget that Rose wasn't exactly a slim girl. LOL The door couldn't hold more than her weight. Had Jack fallen in love with a healthier girl, he'd still be alive today. LOL
Totally agree. And even if Rose did hog all the door, why couldn't they have taken turns on the door so Jack didn't freeze to death?
that's exactly what I think everytime I watch the Titanic. Like, really. selfish bitch hahahaa

he had enough space, but the door was starting to sink just with rose on it and him holding onto the edge and floating in the water.
I think that every time! And i hate when she pushes him in the water to drown... she could at least take the bracelet hes wearing to remember him by
He was already dead. She didn't push him in the water to drown. And it wasn't a bracelet. It was handcuffs.
