Well obviously the Irish government has enough money to pay him that, because they do, so they might as well. They aren't going to cut his pay just so it can be lower than Obama's. (Sorry, I realise how un-technical that was, but you get my point?)
Oh we really dont have enough money to pay him as much as we do. Ireland is screwed economically to be honest, but we might aswell pay the man who screwed us in the first place far too much money for doing absolutely nothing!! (<--sarcasm)
