You wear glasses because they're now a fad and cool. I wear glasses because I can't see that big 'E' on the eye chart, amirite?

Who chooses to wear glasses? I've never seen someone wear them because they're "cool".

I guess no one in my town is either. I've literally never seen this. Everyone I know who has bad vision has contacts if they can and if they need glasses, they only wear them when they have to.

It really is a trend. The big black rimmed nerd glasses. its the geek glasses trend. google it (: I dont do it, + it looks kinda desperate on some kids but eh.

my glasses are only for distance so i wear those when i need them....but when i don't i have a pair of the nerdy ones that don't affect your vision that are fun to wear sometimes...a lot of people in my class ask to borrow them frequently too

I'm supposed to wear contacts/glasses cuz I'm near sighted, but I rarely ever wear them cuz I hate wearing glasses, and contacts make me sleepy... however, I have seen a lot of people wear glasses just for the fashion

Hahahaha this is a brilliant post! I would be blind without my glasses too, I honestly like glasses more than contacts. What you were stranded in the middle of nowhere and you had to remove your contacts because they were daily? If that happened to me I would probably die because I wouldn't be able to see anything.

Wow now I'm going to be really worried about wearing my contacts. I mean what if I got stranded on an island or something. I can't see a thing without my contacts. Same goes for glasses though, if you misplace your glasses then you are just as blind..

Haha yes! It gets you thinking doesn't it? Well I have more than 1 pair of glasses, so I would be fine, but I don't carry them around with me so I would be in trouble if I were stranded somewhere. But it would be easier if I had my glasses rather than contacts because you'd have to remove them eventually.

i have to wear contacts, and i have glasses too. but i HATE when people wear glasses for "funsies." come on now, you dont look fashionable. glasses are for the seeing-impaired. thats like if i walked around with a fake crutch or fake hearing aid. a bunch of black people do it denver for some reason. like, a lot of them. its bizarre.

I can see pretty well without my glasses, but they make it much easier to read tiny print or faraway stuff. also, my face feels weird without them. I like the geeky type that everyone wears, but when some of the girls at my school do it, I want to slap them :D
