why do they even bother having handicap parkings outside a gym? amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Um, because disabled people sometimes go to the gym too? Idiot.

I think they're assuming that in order to park in a handicapped space you'd have to be in a wheelchair, (though I'm not sure how that would work in a car) and then you wouldn't really be able to do that much in a gym...

They have special cars. my uncle is in a wheelchair, he has one. You just control more things with your hands.

Well I was thinking do they put the wheelchair into the car or what, and if not, how does the person get from the wheelchair to the car?
Once I saw a tv show about a special car made for a guy with no arms. It was cool... :)

For legal reasons

Because not all disabilities are so disabling that you can't go to a gym? Also possibly because a handicapped person could be driving someone else there? Also, in the gym near me they have summer camps and stuff too, so in that case they could be picking up their kids or something...
(Though I do get what you meant...)

I'm so glad that other people have said everything I wanted to :) What kind of idiot thinks disabled people don't use gyms?

This is just one of those posts that was thought through a little bit but not quite enough.
