How ?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's all about burning books, and censorship

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ohhh ! That is ironic

by Anonymous 13 years ago

banned by who? I just read it for my high school english class...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I just saw it at a bookstore

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's not banned everywhere, just from a lot of schools, and many parents are against the book itself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It isn't really banned. It is a sort of censored book, but it's taught by many high school teachers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was reading in a class that wasn't English once... And my teacher yelled at me. I was reading Fahrenheit 451. Yay irony.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's a mandatory read in many high schools in the U.S.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i know, but it is on the list of banned books, i promise, you can look it up

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Banned from school reading lists and such in some areas. It's not an illegal piece of literature though. It isn't federally banned, but locally banned by some communities, schoolboards and such. But that ban doesn't have effect outside of the school libraries and community libraries in which that mandate is enacted.

I kind of wished it waas banned everywhere so nobody else would have to suffer through reading it like I did. I absoulutely hated that book.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because you hated it doesn't mean that everyone else will too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's banned? I read it in sixth grade in an advanced reading class!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read that in seventh grade... the copy was from the school library.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's banned? It must not be in my school. I read it for language arts last year. But that is funny! haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We were required to read this by my 7th grade english teacher. Funny thing is its actually banned in my district. He bought his own copies of it XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its banned? i just read the book ! ...read the comments above, only in certain places -_-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why would it be banned? I didn't much enjoy the book, anyway, because most of it was characters going on 5-page monologues about how fucked up society is.
