In 1960 it cost (on average) 18.85 minutes of work to pay for a gallon of gas. In 2010, it costs 9.20 minutes of work to pay for a gallon of gas. (I figured this out by taking GDP per capita/365=average work pay per day. That number/8=average pay per hour. Then gas price(I did use 2.52)/average pay per hour=how many hours of work get you a gallon of gas. Then just multiply by 60 to make it minutes.) So shut the hell up about the gas prices! It's actually cheaper now than it was 50 years ago!
