I know someone who smokes weed who's going into neuroscience and psychology. I know another that's going to be an amazing professional musician. I know another that's a really good teacher AND was in the navy. Over half the people in my jazz band smoke weed and we go to national competitions almost every year and do WELL. Don't tell me people that smoke weed aren't motivated.

Hell yeah. I smoke weed and I have a steady job, and am about to enter my first year in college. Alcohol causes more harm each year then weed. People need to watch the documentary The Union, its a great representation on weed.

Many get lost with the weed, thinking it's the only way out. But there are some genuine people who use it as a relaxer, and they are quite motivated and have steady, if not thriving jobs. Don't base everything you know about marijuana off of your D.A.R.E classes.

I work, play football, run track, and I've placed at the state powerlifting meet the last 3 years. oh, and I have a 3.7 gpa, I smoke weed 2-3 times a week. Just sayin. I'd say I'm a very motivated person.

Michael Phelps has won olympic medals and he smokes bud. It really depends on the person and who they're around all the time easily influenced. Be responsible about it.

Smoking weed can make you lazy and so on...however you can not say everyone who smoke isn't motivated...I do, I am a manager at a Technology firm, and take night classes at the local collage, my boyfriend smokes as well and he is entering his 3rd year in collage to be a lawyer and also has a 3.7 GPA...ha take that, don't judge everyone that smokes that are actually doing something with there lives, but there always is going to be the select few that ruins it for all of us…so sad
