+76 Why is it that you're allowed to vote for the nation's ruler by 18 years old, but you have to be 21 to drink a certain beverage? amirite?

In Britain drinking is ok when you're 16 so long as it's with a meal, but you can't buy alcohol. So you can get married at 16 but not buy a drink to celebrate..

Not to mention you can go to war at 18! I always get this funny image in my head of a young veteran returning from war and going to a bar and being told he's too young to drink. What a sad country we live in XD
