+887 Gays are not destroying the sanctity of marriage. Spousal abuse, adultery, and the ever-increasing rate of divorces are destroying the sanctity of marriage, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love, love, love this post. ♥

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that shows that you are completely ignorant to logic. Like every other liberal scumbag on this site.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That shows you're an ignorant piece of shit who doesn't support people who really do love each other get married because they happen to be the same gender. <3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You sir, should sit down. and shut the fuck up That is all

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lemme guess, you're like 13? All I have to say to you is that cynicism comes with age. Prepare for your closed-minded beliefs to change in the next 7 years, kid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Your statement personally offends me. I know it's stupid to get offended over a user on a website, but that, is ridicules. I'm very liberal, but I don't call all republicans/conservatives scumbags, there are good and bad on both sides. And the fact that you call someone ignorant for agreeing with a good post combined with calling all liberals scumbags shows how ignorant you are. Gays can't even ruin the sanctity of marriage, they can't get married, they are wrongly denied of that right. As this posts states, people who beat their family, the one they created, people who cheat on the ones they say they love, and the ones who marry for lust, not love, are ruining the sanctity of marriage, not gay people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The reasoning behind this post is just plain stupid. It's like saying, "BP isn't polluting the gulf, it's all the dumping and fossil fuel combustion that is." They all contribute to the detriment of the sanctity of marriage, you can't just exclude one. What is most sad is that this post has a ten to one ratio of yes' to no's. Sometimes amirite users make me wonder.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Gays fighting for their right to marry for YEARS after being together are ruining the sanctity of marriage...how?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That might be the worst analogy I have heard in my entire life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How are gays ruining the sanctity of marriage now anyway? They can't get married. Therefore, if you think the sanctity of marriage is declining at this instant, you can't blame the gays.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OHHHHH LOORRRDDYYYY JESSUUSSS! AMEENN!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love this post, even though there are even homosexuals who are players or whatever you want to call them, gays are not the reason for the downfall of marriage. People who play the field after being married, people who abuse their spouse, and people who just marry person after person just cause they feel lust instead of love, those are the people who are destroying marriage, it doesn't come down to gender, race, or sexuality, it comes down to who the person is we should be happy that there are happy couples out there and supporting them rather than finding a person to blame just because they are different then you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How am I the ignorant one here when you evidently don't know that sanctity is synonymous with holiness. Indeed, the idea of gay people marrying and blowing eachother or whatever gay men is quite holy isn't it? I'm sure they have procreation at the top of their list of priorities.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, you never give or receive oral? What about the couples who have children and beat the shit out of them daily, and the couples who kill their children? Or the ones who never procreate? At least gays typically adopt children. This is the worst argument I have ever heard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Since when is procreation a priority? People get married to commit themselves to only one person for the rest of their lives. Why can't the gays?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am so tired of people who nitpick about sexuality. When I see people who truly love each other, whether they are straight or gay, I know in my heart that God would approve. I don't want to believe in a God who would want to keep them apart.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you would stop believing in God just because you don't agree with one thing he says is wrong?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If he 'loves' everyone, why would he 'hate' the gays? No, I wouldn't and don't believe in a God that hates gays.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God doesn't hate anyone he just hates their lifestyle

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How do you know what God loves and hates?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

'He' is preaching that you should love everyone equally, no matter what. But he doesn't approve of gays? Whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God doesn't hate gays. He said that being gay is a sin. God still loves gays, just like he loves everybody else that sins.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If being gay is a sin, then he doesn't love everything about them. Being gay shouldn't be a sin. It's a personal preference as to who you love.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Have you ever heard God say he hates the gay lifestyle? I know I haven't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's in the bible multiple times. In Leviticus 20:12 it says, "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I just believe in one with different views than you. I don't think God would have a problem with love, in any form.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are you right? Yes you are! I completely agree with you and this post and frankly it drives me fucking bonkers that people can say, "MY God is better and/ or more correct than yours". Who the fuck is ANYONE on this planet to be the judge of that?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ppl need to stop wasting their time. i mean if u dnt like gay ppl thats u... dnt fight with sum1 who doesnt have a problem with it or some1 who is gay. would u hate sum1 who didnt like the same movies or food as u? i dnt think so. so dnt hate some that doesnt like the same gender as u. its their lifestyle not urs. it doesnt affect u does it? i mean its not like gay ppl are turnin every1 thats straight gay right? now ppl need to stfu and let ppl be themselves

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fix the way you type or no one will ever take you seriously on this website. Ever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i dont care. i said wut i had to and if ppl dnt like the way i type thats on them not mee

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you have that attitude throughout life, you're going to be living in a box.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm trying to help you out. If you want people to take you seriously, you can't type like a 14 year old.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm fourteen, and I can actually type, let's go with an eight year old. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually I'm 14 as well, and I see so many kids my age typing like a retard, but 8 year old works :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i love how our declaration of independence, the document where america STARTED, says everyone has the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, yet the leaders of the country are twisting those "unalienable" rights in every way, shape, and form

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's "gay people", not "gays"; it's not a fucking noun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's not the point of this post.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The point of this post wasn't the point of my comment. The ignorance of the OP and everyone who's commented with the word "gays" was the point of my comment.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well excuse me. 'Gays' is one of those words that isn't officially a word, but it's used so much that it has become one in our society. I'm sure it will appear in the dictionary this was before long, just like the word 'gay' itself came to mean homosexual rather than happy. The dictionary doesn't decide which words people use, the people decide which words the people use. Now, about that gay marriage thing...cause that's the point of this...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And, as with everything else, you get some words which stupid people aren't able to differentiate between while others understand them all enough to be able to be offended by the use of some. I wouldn't go around identifying people as whites or blacks, as it is not a characteristic definitive of who they are, just as one's sexuality shouldn't define who they are. I don't see people going around describing a group of "straights", just as much as I don't expect to see people talk about a group of "gays".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And normally I'm sure no one who supported the post would go around referring to people being 'gays'. But, since the actual point of the point was defending gay marriage, it has to do with them being gay (not that marriage should). You could have just pointed out that the word was used incorrectly, but being rude about something so insignificant helps no one. How are people supposed to know it is the wrong way to use a word if they have never been told?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its insignificance is subjective; you clearly fit into the first of my two categories of people if you feel that to be the case. I'm not talking about people being referred to as gays, I'm raising the point of how a group of people is being referenced. As 'gay' should be used as an adjective, to use the word as a noun is offensive as it implies that the person can be distinguished solely by this characteristic. Using the word as an adjective ("gay people") averts this.

The divorce rate is the lowest it's been since 1970. Just saying.
