The bible describes Hell. It doesnt sound good.

It could be exaggerating. If I wanted someone to come to McDonald's instead of Burger King I would describe BK as a fiery burning horrible place.

It would exaggerate because what is the point of that? I'm pretty sure the devil (evil himself) would have no sympathy at all. Like he'd want you to be comfortable, sheesh.

its funny that you say that. Humans may have written the book, but the things they wrote were inspired by God. Think about it, the entire bible is composed of books written in 3 different languages, 40 different authors, over 3 different continents. And yet, they have the same message... it all flows together. So, God bascically wrote the Bible through people. Now, im pretty sure God would know what hell is like, therefore, since he "wrote" the bible.. consider it truth.

There was one guy who was actually in hell. Theres a book about it, its called like, 23 Minutes in Hell, or its 27 Minutes in Hell. I dont remember if it was 23 or 27

well atheists are often the only ones who questions things without proof. i mean if you believe in god, why do you question hell and not god himself? i mean it's much harder to believe in some guy who's better than anyone than life after death

an atheist is one who rejects all belief in god. they surely think that there is no possible way god exists. it's not just not believing in god, that's what agnosticism is. those don't know if there is god or there isn't god.

I don't want to start some religion fight thing, but somebody once told me that what people make hell out to be isn't really true, the worst thing about hell is being seperated from God. Just wanted to say that, but otherwise I like the joke.

And a funny joke, too. But back to theories: The Bible, being oh-so-reliable since it was written thousands of years ago, also says that God created the devil (I always wanted to know how the hell THAT happened...), therefore in a way created Hell. So I'm assuming that at least (parts) of it can't be that bad. Sure, the ax murderers won't be running through fields of daisies, but the gays (which some religions believe are evil sinners, blah blah blah), wouldn't be hanging in thumbscrews for all eternity...you know? Not that I think many people actually end up in Hell anyway...It'd kinda go anainst the whole forgiveness thing, wouldn't it?
