+523 Telling BP to clean up the the spill is like telling the killer to take care of the crime scene they will hide a lot of the damage, amirite?

Yes, but! The US has turned down help from other countries - countries that have equipment for recovering from this type of crisis! (I believe the country that offered was Denmark or Norway - but don't quote me on that). It's our fault for not cleaning up properly, if that actually happens.

We need to know if it is being disposed of properly and if what they are doing further damages the ocean and we have no accesses to any of important information.

They've already done more damage by trying to cover their mistakes. They're using dispersant (which is a toxic chemical) on the oil in the water, which causes it to sink down farther. This means we can't see as much from those nice photos from above the spill, and it also means the oil can't be skimmed out as easily.

Now do you think they will stop there?

No . . . . that was supposed to have an implied "Yeah You Are" tone to it

I got it.

You know, the dispersants also make it worse for organisms in the ocean. A dispersant breaks apart organic matter, therefore breaking apart the matter in living things and causing hemorrhages in animals living in the ocean.
