"I'm vegetarian but I eat fish" is a lot like saying "I'm not vegetarian", amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wouldn't that make them a flexiterian?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I smack everyone who says "flexitarian" to me.
You're either an omnivore or not.
by Anonymous13 years ago
it means they are a pescetarian
by Anonymous13 years ago
@391223 (LUCAIFUNGI): Exactly(:
And if ya wanna get that deep, people that eat eggs aren't veggies.
Eggs are just boneless chicken dinner(:
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah they are. The egg wasn't fertilized, therefore it wouldn't have been a chicken anyways, so it's okay to eat.
And, I'm sort of tired of people making fun of vegetarians. It's not like we all go around yelling at people who eat meat. Some of us mind our own business. I'm soo done with the stereotypes...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Dude, bite me. You must not have known myself and my mother have been pescetarian for over a year. Also, it's called sarcasm!
by Anonymous13 years ago
eggs are animal by-product. you can eat eggs and be vegetarian. you just cant eat eggs and be vegan. Vegans cut out all animal by-products like eggs, dairy, anything fried in animal fat...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I am completely aware of all this!
I'm a fuckin' pescetarain!
People can't take a joke
by Anonymous13 years ago
like catholics on lent >.< i got into an argument with one about how fish is technically "meat"
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't eat meat, except for fish. Oh I don't smoke... except for my cigarettes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
The only reason the fish rule came about was because of the piss-poor fish market back in olden days.
by Anonymous13 years ago
its called pescatarian. most people dont know what that means, so they say it like that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Pescetarian as everyone has already said. Got a problem with pescetarianism?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't think I do, I have a problem with people who say they're vegetarian when they're not vegetarian though, they're liars.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actually I'm not a liar because vegetarians can eat fish and still have the right to call themselves vegetarians. Just like you have the right to call yourself an asshole for criticizing someone for something you obviously don't understand.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Something I obviously don't understand? Right yeah, because fish aren't real animals, so their flesh isn't real meat. A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat, someone who does eat meat is not a vegetarian, if someone who does eat meat says they're vegetarian, they're not telling the truth, so they're lying. But what do I know?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't eat animals that are raised for slaughter. Animals that have no chance for survival, I'm not demeaning the value of a fishes life but they have a chance to live.
Don't question my honesty because one thing I don't do is lie.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm sorry, I might have been unclear, I'm not suggesting pescetarians are wrong, or lesser people than vegetarians, all I meant is that a pescetarian is a different thing to a vegetarian, but for some reason people see them as the same thing, and that bothers me. I didn't mean to offend you.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Its okay, it just gets annoying how everyone hates on vegetarians and I've just gotten used to being defensive about it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
um no they dont have the right to still call themselves vegetarians if they eat fish thats like somebody saying oh im straightedge but i still smoke
by Anonymous13 years ago
To be a vegetarian means you don't eat meat. Fish aren't considered meat, so you can be a vegetarian and eat fish.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Fish are considered meat. Vegetarians don't eat animals in general, not just meat. Fish are also considered animals.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Pescatarianism is a form of vegetarianism where most meat, except fish, is cut out of the diet. It's still a form of vegetarianism, just not purely vegetarianism.
Also, I'm a vegetarian and I eat eggs, cheese, and milk. All of which are byproducts of animals, not actually animals themselves.
