Well there is a belief about birthmarks over here. It determines your personality or something. It's all bullshit, though.

Someone did this a long time ago (said they could read into people's futures by their birthmarks) I think it was in the 1800's. I read about it in the bathroom reader :P haha

People also laughed at many other claims, yet people swear they work. Possibly when the person is told their future it becomes like the self fulfilling prophecy where you subconciously work towards it as thats what you believe to happen.
