All they try to do is give you nice magazines for FREE and are super sweet. amirite?

Wow, really? I had no idea Jehova's witnesses were a religion. I guess that explain's the 'Jehovah' part of their name. Those magazines they give you aren't just magazines, they're pamphlets about that sect of Christianity. The way you say it makes it sound like they're a completely different religion, not just a denomination fo Christianity. But it's not that big a deal to get missionaries at your door. So they want to spread something they love to other people, big deal. There's only a problem if they REALLY won't take no for an answer.

I agree with what you said, and I'm not the OP, but I know a couple different families of Jehovah's Witnesses and they definitely have differences even though they are a sect of Christianity. They don't celebrate birthdays and other holidays, and they can be pretty strict.

I know a couple Jehovah's Witnesses. One of them I had a debate about whether Christmas was a pagan holiday or if it was okay, but that's about all. He's never tried to convert me from being an Episcopalian or anything and he's not really all that religious, so it's not that big a deal.

I make fun of religions, but I almost never mean it seriously. There's actually a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness down by my school. I don't personally know any Jehovah's Witnesses, though. Nor has one ever come to my door. But I have seen the magazines at bus-stations and such.
