Ok there sir or ma'am, the next time you are given something you really don't like, you better eat every last bit of it.

So...because I live in a country where I have the luxury to buy and eat only foods that I like, I have to just get over myself? No, I'm sorry. There are some foods that I simply do not like the taste of. I'm allowed to have personal preferences.

*selves, and it's not always being picky. Some people have allergies or what will you that depending on the severity can keep them from eating certain things.

I hate those picky eaters who refuse to eat the food because something they don't like is touching it. Just take a fucking napkin and wipe what you don't like off and suck it up.

While I am not condoning the behavior of random pricks that do that, I will say that some people, myself included, have a legitimate psychological issue, sort of like food OCD, which is gaining prominence in the medical community.

I think it's fine to be like that when you have control of what you eat (like at your house), but if you're at someone else's house you shouldn't complain and just be grateful that they're giving you free food.

I always make a point to say "It was delicious!!" even if it was absolutely NASTY.

I'm not gonna eat something that I don't like. I will politely decline and either make my own meal or just not eat until later on. I can't help it, I wish I was more open to other foods but I just can't do it. I'm grateful for the food I do eat and for my parents who understand my pickiness.

Same. I try to eat before I go to someone's house, though. Then when they offer me some food, instead of awkwardly saying that I don't like the food, I can just say that I had a big breakfast/lunch/dinner and am not very hungry. There are so many foods that smell amazing, but they just don't taste good. At least, not to me. Like hamburgers? They smell so good, but I can't stand the texture of hamburger. It's sad, really.

I love smelling foods and drinks but I'll never have them like hamburgers, steak, or coffee. I don't eat much anyways so I just lie and say I ate.

I'm very picky but because of it, I don't eat much microwave stuff, a few canned things and I mostly eat fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, bread and I'm slowly quitting soft drinks. I'm very healthy, but I could use some excercise. But because of pickiness, I'm thin and I eat whatever I want.

I think being picky to som degree is ok, but only liking a total of 10 different foods and nothing else or crying at the dinner table because you dislike everything there is a little much.

I literally only eat 15 things. I can't control it. It's like telling someone to stop being afraid of heights, it just doesn't happen overnight. A year ago I only ate green grapes, chocolate chips, grape jelly, provolone cheese, and bagels. Even now the food that I "enjoy" I am slowly dropping off my list.
