About 17% of humans are left-handed. The same is true of chimpanzees and gorillas, amirite?

I'm right handed, but left footed.

Ch, righty, there's no place for you here.

Lol I always get really, really excited when I meet another left-handed person. I'm like "HIGH FIVE! YES!"

Supposedly, lefties have shorter lives than righties.

But we have better lives. Haha.

The question is about the apes...
And a quick search gives the answer :
"Comparative analysis indicated that chimpanzees and bonobos show population-level right handedness, whereas gorillas and orangutans do not." (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2063575/)
True for chimps (who are much closer to humans), but not for gorillas.
