I couldn't agree more! Cell phones too. People constantly ask me "did you get my message?" and I never do!
Tip from someone who's been in customer service- call and complain every time you have a noticable outage. Every time. That's how you get credits. Most cell phone companies have an allotted amount that any CSR can give you ($5 or $10) in the event of service outage. Don't lie, though; once you're labelled as a person who takes advantage, you're screwed. Every CSR you talk to leaves notes on your account.
