+756 You've started to notice that less and less people use manners, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The other day I held a door for someone, and they looked at me like I had two heads. Sad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i know. its horrible. or like if you compliment someone, and they say mhmm. like just say thank you!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh hey! hahaha i feel special! this was one of my posts before i got my username(: (:

sigh....kids these days. and adults these days, dang.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i lost all hope in american teenagers. even more in humanity in general.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry to hear that =(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Teenagers are rude as fuck. I might be contradicting myself when I say it cause I'm a teenager but I have common sense and manners, unlike most of American teenagers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, i was raised to always say thank you and please and hold doors open and was scolded when i didnt. i find alot of them rude. and it doesn't help that chivalry is dead either, thats where most of it came from. but even like regularly, since i was raised that way, i find it annoying as hell when someone asks you for something and doesn't say please.

when i went to the states with my school a little over a year ago. we went and got ice cream i said "ca i please get *what ever flavour it was i wanted*" and then when the guy handed me my ice cream i said thank you. he just gave me the weirdest look ever like he's never heard anyone use manners before. it is very sad.

i gotta say, it depends where you go, where did you go, if you don't mind me asking

by Anonymous 13 years ago

boston.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh, well i don't really know much about boston, but please don't get that idea about Americans, we're not all like that =(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

don't worry i know that its like not all of us Canadian's are nice and polite, i've some pretty rude Canadians.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, my parents went one time and they needed directions to the opposite side of town and the people started talking in French saying how they were stupid tourists and like cursing them off and they were going to give them wrong directions, but didn't realize my mom spoke full french...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yup that sounds like some of the people here. i know a lot of people who think Americans are ignorant and stupid. they don't realise by saying that they are the ones being ignorant. we all have our good and our bad in each person and each country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this is true(: except maybe british people hahahah sorry(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ha lmao! eh well they got the accents to make up for it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the accents make them perfect! and you just said "eh"....that made my dayyy!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol i did't even see that i did that xD oh well as long as i made your day xD i guess it just comes out sometimes

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hola! Coma es stas?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

estoy bien, gracias, y tu`?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhm, I always say thank you when I'm out. Rstaurants, grocery stores, anywhere. And I always get a 'you're welcome.' Never weird looks. I have people hold doors for me all the time, like to the point that I couldn't hold it for someone else if I even wanted because someones already got it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

like i said above, it kind of depends where you live...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks for noticing me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

awww hi(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is so true. I mean when was the last time you heard a cashier from any merchandise store say thank you? We're the ones putting the money into their paycheck. Its sad.
