In movies, and even real life, why do people run directly away from a person with a gun? It's not like you can outrun a bullet, amirite?

actually running away from the gunman makes you a more difficult target. also, it gives you an oppurtunity to hide.

There's technique to running away from someone with a gun, you zig zag, they have less of a chance of hitting you.

I think I meant something like, he would be able to kill you even if you serpentined all the way up through the movie. Then, after the movie, there really would be no more Jack Bauer. I'm only guessing at what I meant, I was half asleep when I wrote that comment.

This is also true if you are god. God may move god's hand and god is saved. I say god many times because I am not sure of the gender of god and I see that god is right there. I do not want to offend god by calling god by the wrong gender.
