i'm actually going to say...no. because there are so many out there who are just as lovely and dreamy as john was, and have gotten much more done than john did. what john preached was not anything new or anything wholly original...nay, he was one of many, many dreamers. as much as you want to idealize his beliefs and statements to making a difference on his own, the fact is that dreams and ideas and thoughts do not die with an individual's death. in addition, john did not start anything, he voiced what was already happening, and what has happened inside of us since perhaps the beginning of human beings themselves. the world would be more or less the same if john were still alive. we have his memory, which is almost better than he himself because we can idealize him to an unbreakable extent. i love john lennon, but we must imagine and remember and how he makes us feel is not he himself but something that was already within us, always :) i hope there was some sense in this paragraph.
