Athletes break records all the time, but will we ever get to a point that an athlete does something the fastest or the best that the human body can manage, and no more records will ever be broken? amirite?

The voters have decided that ashlaaaay is right! Vote on the post to say if you agree or disagree.

Along with the evolution of people comes the evolution of technology. What runners are running on now, and what they wear while running, along with technique, is not what it was say, twenty years ago. If one was to run with the same conditions forever, then yes, there would come a point when a record could not be broken.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. But technology will probably come to a point that it can't get any more advanced also.

It hasn't yet, but should that day come, then possibly. But it would also depend on human evolution as well. We're already taller now than we were just a generation ago.

I bet the record will rise in an exponential line, and when we get a buttload of great technology it will start to only raise by a tiny bit each year.
