+302 Saying "You're welcome" to someone for not thanking you, is way ruder than not thanking someone. amirite?

No, I'd say rude people deserve to have their attention called to it.

It's not always rude not to thank someone, sometimes people think they deserve a 'thank you' when they really don't.

I do this all the time, and all I can say is that they were asking for it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always do that but as a joke, because sometimes I space out and forget to thank people.

Depends how it's said really, and the situation obvs, also who the conversation is between.

i completely agree. it all depends on the circumstances...

Especially when they don't even give youa chance to say 'thank you'.

My teacher told this girl to pass a paper to me, she said that. I didn't really think I needed to thank her for that.

I love doing this at work to customers who've been a pain in the ass, especially by saying it genuinely as if they had just thanked you.
