+522 Canadians think that Americans think that Canadians live in igloos. The thing is, Americans don't think about Canadians at all. Bring it on, offended commentators. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Americans are just mad that Canada got more golds in the olympics (: what now ! ahah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i actually didnt know that until right now. Because Canadians talk about Americans, not the other way around.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well you probably should have noticed, seeing as canada beat the record of the most golds in the olympics

by Anonymous 13 years ago

people who are angry won't comment because you said that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think that might have been the point duh

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha, so much truth to this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Americans don't think about Canadians at all? It's kind of hard to ignore us considering we're right on top of you, idiot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You'd be surprised. You guys really don't matter to us. You're like a retarded overgrown younger brother. We don't have any real problems with you. We just can't take you guys seriously.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are making a huge generalization that is largely false. You are speaking for your entire country, don't make all of America look a total imbecile like yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's actually not false at all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pretty sure when I'm asleep, my blankets are ontop of me and I don't think of them. Settle down up there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

my thoughts exactly:).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@412546 (Anonymous): well, canadian people, even though you are right on top of us, us americans still never really thing about you. no matter where your country is.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It bugs me when Canadians say Americans think they live in igloos, because I'm American, and I have never thought that and neither has anyone I have ever known.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly! Americans are not stupid, besides common belief. It's not offensive but it's not true either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJuNgBkloFE - your comment reminded me of this

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not all American's are as stupid as the one's in that video. I will agree that some people are dumb, but not everyone is as stupid as them. seriously, those people were idiots. I'm American and I knew most of those things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, yes, those people were pretty stupid, but not all Americans are. In fact, I'm a fourteen year old American, and I knew the answers to almost all of those questions. Not all Americans are complete morons!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think Americans should just chill out... I'm an American, not an idiot, not fat but I think the jokes about us are hilarious. And sorry Canadians, but I don't think about you as much as I do other places :( mostly cause you don't cause much hubbub.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@628712 (Life(:): Oh. Wow. Geez. Not ALL of us are dumb...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@629567 (Anonymous): @629879 (loverat222): I'm not saying the video was right, the comment before me reminded me of that video and I thought it was funny so I shared it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ikr, you see all these posts that says "Just because I'm Canadian doesn't mean I ride polar bears." and I always think to myself "Has anyone ever even implied that you do?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ikr?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've actually been asked that...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

TOTALLY! I moved to Canada from America, and learned that Canadians must think very highly of themselves to believe that Americans think of them and what they're doing all the time!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"It's kind of hard to ignore us considering we're right on top of you, idiot." thats what she said...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LMAO ..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

why thank you. i do my best

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I thought that exact same thing when I read it ..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

great minds think alike lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i never thought canadians lived in igloos....well maybe when i was five. lmao. and of course i think about canada! i mean you're right there...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah... I thought Alaskans lived in igloos when I was MUCH younger. Can't blame me, they taught us about people who lived in alaska who did. Don't speak for our whole country. People like you are the type that make our country look retarded to the rest of the world. I can honestly say I know a lot of people who actually think about Canada.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you know Alaska isn't a part of Canada, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no it it. right by russia right? ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wasn't saying Alaska is part of Canada. I was saying WHO I thought lived in igloos, showing that I didn't ever think Canadians did. But now that I look back at that comment, I probably shoulda mentioned that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I traveled to Canada. A lot of nice people there.. :) Plus I looove the accent. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Canadians have accents? I thought it was just the British and Australians ><

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You did not just say "just the British and Australians." Either you spend too much time on MLIA, or you're an idiot. Or you just decided to sound like one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sort of. Like people in Wisconsin and Minnesota do too... its hard to explain the accent over text lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

SOME Minnesotans;). not meee. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh I'm sorry :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well technically, while you might not have a typical Minnesotan(sp?) accent, you do have an accent to somebody.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What!?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyone has some kind of accent

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not to offend anyone but i rarely think about canada, i have nothing against them but they rarely cross my mind.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I laughed at this post, true or not

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This really seems like a post by an American trying to justify his/her stereotyping.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Canada is our hat! Nobody thinks about hats.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's why you can lose a hat that you're wearing...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Salut, canadiens! Ca va?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ca va tres bien, merci. Et toi?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Je ne parle pas de français, mais j'ai voulu participer!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh my god!!! u speak french?!?!?! wow!!! ur so smart canada, all us americans are real dumb huh? yeah we all know absolutely nothing about anything going on in the world. stup up not all of us are as stupid as the people in YouTube videos. im twelve and i know plenty about the world.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Your+name+(optional)): please stfu, you're making us look bad. also twelve year olds.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Your+name+(optional)): I wish children weren't allowed on the internet...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Celine Dion is Canadian, she's freakin' awesome. Not to mention Justin Bieber...LMAO.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I also don't think about Canadian at all really unless it is mentioned

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think about Canada until I read the news, and then I can't help but think about what city in Canada I'll move to when the government really screws up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think about Canada. No offense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh.. Well Then! xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is no such thing as a 'Canadian Accent'. We are a diverse country, there are many different cultures here, who have different accents from their home countries. It really ticks me off when people talk about 'Canadian Accents'. THEY ARE NON-EXISTANT, dumbasses.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Maple leafs, eh?): There are accents only possessed by Canadians i.e. Canadian accents.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol rage.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well I am Canadian and an American HAS asked me if I lived in an igloo. they also thought we only had winter and no other seasons....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is soooo not true. we have about 3 weeks of summer thank you very much

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I'm Canadian and I don't think that Americans think we live in igloos and ride polar bears and I have certainly not met anyone who has said that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmm. Canadians: Newfoundland is to Canada as Canada is to America. We think you guys are pretty wimpy but we don't really pay attention.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

America is too busy thinking about themselves. Here's a fact, the quality of life is higher in Canada. In fact almost everything is better in Canada..stability, education, healthcare. The only thing bad in Canada is the expensive prices on everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Here's another fact: Americans dont effin care. We dont talk shit about Canada. Ever. PS: we dont care about hockey either. But you guys effin invented hockey! It would have been soooooooooo sad if you DIDNT cream us in hockey.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, here on amirite we're all extremely concerned with the quality of life in Canada. I'm really glad you posted that. Now I know never to make fun of Canada again because they have good healthcare.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In the grand scheme of things Canada really isn't as important as the US. If only we had went ahead with War Plan Red...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Canada is awesome! 1. Niagara Falls 2. Eh? 3. Bacon. 4. Accents (yes they DO exist. Everyone has an accent.) No I do not think about Canada daily but it is really selfish to think that America never thinks about other countries.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. Niagra Falls is on the US-Canada border (so we have that too). 2. That is terribly annoying. 3. Canadian Bacon is just ham or maybe back bacon depending on where you get it. 4. The Canadian accent are pretty neutral as far as accents go, not bad but not good either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When you posted this you were thinking about how Canadians think us Americans think about them so technically you were thinking about Canadians.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Canadians only think about Americans because they're all so ignorant. No wonder more than half the world likes Canada, rather than the U.S.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've actually been asked by an American if I lived in an igloo before. Also an American thought we didnt have a sky in Canada, so sorry if we judged you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are you kidding me?!? My friend and I have in depth conversations about Canada! We both want to move there. She's on the hockey team, so that might have a thing to do with it. We talk about the Narwhals and Michael Cera and the milk in bags... FFFFFFSSS I love Canada.
