+399 A tree was already killed to make paper. Wasting the paper by scribbling on it and throwing it out is pretty much adding insult to injury. amirite?

the tree was planted to make paper they make special fields for it. Just like they raise cows for the meat.

(Steve has no jobs.): Um, actually tree farms only supply 16% of the wood used in the paper industry. The rest is from old-growth forests such as the rain forest. Either way, the loss of trees isn't the major problem. The problem is that people use and throw away paper carelessly, or don't recycle. We are running out of landfill space.

Recycled paper is usually not attractive. Aren't we lucky many things can be done on line so there is no paper used. What really bothers me is the junk mail, all colored inks shining paper.

True that. Gladly trees are replacable but it takes years.

Alas, that is the world today. I read once that President Lincoln had to use birch bark to write on. I have always respected paper and bibles.
