OMG, we have like the same dad! To make matters worse my dad is a professor, so he uses as much big words and philosophical knowledge to make you feel as dumb as possible. He always knows what to say that hits you and rips you apart right at the heart. I remember a time that he lectured me for 45 minutes on how to wash dishes properly...I was 6 years old!!!!! I feel like he just talks for the sake of talking and also because he likes the sound of his own voice! :-S

Oh man, that sucks! I feel your pain! My dad just lectured me for 2.5 hours (no joke), about how I stay out to late. I came home at 12: 20 am! My curfew is now 11pm and I am 19! So ridiculous. :-(

My dad will lecture for hours, too. It's usually a legitimate reason to start with, I'll give him that. But then, after I agree with him and promise to fix it/change, he'll KEEP going on...about how I should fix it/change. He thinks he's bringing up all these brilliant, amazing points highlighting my inadequacy, but in reality he's just saying the same shit reasoning with different words, in a different tone, and for some reason expecting different reactions from me. And people say I'M the confusing one...
