I'm guessing a different reason to why chickens aren't sold in vending machines. Though if the chicken comes first it could cushion the fall of the egg and therefore make the possibility of eggs being sold in a vending machine possible. The relevance of the chicken being sold in a vending machine is thus neither here nor there. It could simply be a chicken kept in the vending machine for the sole purpose of cushioning the fall of the egg. The question that naturally arises then, is whether or not the chicken would wilfully give up the egg to the buyer or not?
