I love their relationship cause I get to shove it peoples face all the time when they say stuff like "True love doesn't exist" or something like this post. Though I think we can all admit that there are more 13 year olds claiming they are in love than 13 year olds being in love.
According to second anon, you only become capable of love when you are no longer a teenager, so it's impossible for children and teenagers to love their parents, pets, friends and other family members
No you didn't. You started doing a teenage almost dating thing at age 13, called it love, and then got lucky enough to end up still enjoying eachother as you grew up and became capable of love
This is invalid because everyone has their own personal definition of "love" and being "in love". So one person can't say "You're not in love" to another person because love is different for everyone.
Obviously, there are cases where people meet their husband or wife at 13 years old or so, like my grandparents- however, I think that the post was made to address the rash of attention-feeding middle-schoolers who really believe that they're in love.
I think people CAN fall in love at 13, but that they can't TRULY know at 13, if their body hasn't fully matured they can't know for sure that it's not just hormones.
In my humble opinion, love is love. While many kids around age thirteen are immature and just date to date, there are some teenagers who genuinely care for - and even eventually fall in the love with - their significant other.
I personally have a friend of mine who fell in love, real, actual, love, at age 13. She was always super mature for her age, and so was the guy. She's 16 now, and would do anything for him, they're inseparable. I can really feel the love they have, it's amazing.
I see what you're saying, but if she says yes they won't be getting married anytime soon. It's more of his way of saying "I'll wait for you for when we're older", which is really sweet in my opinion.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I think love can happen when you hit puberty. And they can be in love, for a while at least. But usually it's not forever. If you mean, true love like, soulmates, then I agree. If you mean no romantic LOVE can happen, I disagree.
So you're 13, in love, and according to your bio gay as well? Oh, and self diagnosed with ocd? Definitely not the classic overdramatic middle schooler then. Clearly at 13 you know so much about how the world works, thank you for informing us mere cynics.
Hahaha Anonymous that was perfect, so true. You self diagnosed yourself with OCD? You can't get much more stereotypical dramatic child then that and saying it must be love because it 'hurt like fucking hell'. Tell us about this love oh entrepreneur of romance
Because saying that you're gay automatically makes you overdramatic? Are you implying that no gays actually exist because only attention-seeking people claim to be so, or are you just implying that all gays are attention-seeking?
Anyway, I find it rather funny that so many comments on this post are saying that love can happen at any age, then this 13 year old comments and gets shot down. Just an observation.
The point is glow if every single 13 year old thinks they're in love and every single adult tells them they are full of shit and every single 13 year old grows up to realize it wasnt love what gives you the right to think you are an immaculate exception? That's just naive. I've already made an accurate judgement... Stereotypical teenager. Plus, and this is my favorite, many studies have shown that with the way our hormones and pleasure chemicals are out of wack it's PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to experience love on a real scale before and during puberty. Ya, there has been research proving you can't actually love even if you think you are/ want to. Your body doesn't yet produce dopamine and serotonin in the right way. That's food for thought. I'm ignoring the gay part because that's completely irrelevant
I (different anon) think the fact she's gay contributes to how dramatic and over done the things she does can be. Not as a gay girl but as an attention seeking girl
True love can happen at almost any age. If you meet your true love at 13, why not? Ignorant fools.
Exactly. I know a couple that's been together since 8th grade/age 13.
Who is anyone else to say whether you're in love or not?
I love their relationship cause I get to shove it peoples face all the time when they say stuff like "True love doesn't exist" or something like this post. Though I think we can all admit that there are more 13 year olds claiming they are in love than 13 year olds being in love.
My grandma was 13 when her and my grandpa started dating (he was 15) they eloped when she was 15. They celebrated their 60th anniversary last month.
@Tweetbaby14 I'm not exactly sure. Somewhere in their 30's. They've been married for like 15 years and they have 3 kids.
@Chasing_Echos Aw, that's great!
How old are they now.
I agree, I do the same thing with the couple I mentioned above. And yes, that's definitely true.
@Run_The_Pacific, I know a couple in their mid-30s, happily married with 2 kids and 2 dogs. They've been together since they were 12.
@silvershadow6 Aw, that's awesome!
@Chasing_Echos Exactly the same for my grandparents
But, according to your bio, it can happen at age 14 or 15, unless you're in a relationship with someone you don't actually love.
It might surprise you how often people date people they're not in love with. How do you know when you're in love if you have nothing to compare it to?
Well you're 15 and you "loveeminem1". What say you to that? Hmmm?
It almost never happens at age 13, because you and the guys/girls you date aren't really mature enough. But there's always an exception.
My boyfriend and I fell in love at 13. Now we're close to 21 and have a dog together and plan to be married soon. Love happens at any time.
Piss off, second anon.
...became capable of love?

I believe Corey and Topanga would disagree with this post...

Tell that to Juliet. Preferably before she kills herself

He says he's going to propose to her soon.

The odds may be against it but my grandparents have been in a realationship since middle school. They are 71 now.

And what were you doing that is not holding hands and stereotypical teenage middle school relationship
BOOM! You guys just got hit with logic and facts
