We're not falling apart. Society was way more fucked up in the past. We just have much higher standards now.

I don't want to argue either. But out of curiosity, why do you think we're falling apart?

well, when was the last time you said hi to a neighbor or someone you don't know just for the sake of saying hello? when was the last time you went through a day without using an electronic? we have become so enveloped in our own lives. our looks, our social life, our personal achievements. we rarely pay attention to anyone else. i feel that we are too dependent on electronics, and other things, that we are losing the true valuable things in life. noe of those things are terrible, but its sort of taken over. of course, i do most of things i mentioned, but its depressing to think about. thats why. again, totally respecting your views.

@froyocharlie well, when was the last time you said hi to a neighbor or someone you don't know just for the sake of saying hello?...

I thought you were talking about world events and catastrophes and stuff instead of how people's characteristics are changing. Well to answer your rhetorical questions, I say hi to people I don't know on a daily basis (either at my job or when I walk my dog and I pass other people or something). And the last time I went through a day without using electronics was about a year ago when I went camping. I don't really want to get into this any deeper now, but at least I know what you mean now. I thought you were saying something completely different.

@BreakfastFan I thought you were talking about world events and catastrophes and stuff instead of how people's characteristics...

yeah, i mean, yes, the whole terrorist attacks over the last decade and wars and stuff are part of it, but its not really my main focus. and yeah, i dont want to get any deeper either. but thanks for now seeing my point. :-)
