I liked Sims 2 a lot! They had a lot of things, like the worlds where all the Sims intermingled, that Sims 3 doesn't have. But the Sims 3 has pluses of it's own! Like... um...
Man, a lot of the expansion packs aren't out yet, so I don't know. O.o
The only thing I miss is not being able to have your own Sims interact - the new town feature doesn't allow that as each of your Sims/families have their own town. However, all the extra actions and customizing ability make up for that and when more expansions are out, it'll be much better.
You can still make multiple sims and put them in the same town, but all the other families continue their lives even when you're playing a different family.
Sims 3 is coming out with an expansion pack identical to Night Life and it will have vampires in it .^ I'm sure once they get all the expansion packs that we love and add more to the game more people will love it, all though I don't like the way the sims in sims 3 look. You can make them look more realistic in the sims 2. I still love sims 2 and original sims more.
Probably, see I'm a bit ocd when it comes to video game character design, so I'll spend an hour or more working on one until its perfect. Which is probably pointless since you can barely see their faces when they're in the game.
Exactly. Most of the YYA's probably came from people who spent hundreds of bucks on half a dozen expansion packs. I based my opinion on base gameplay value.
i remember in the original sims when randomly during the middle of the night , my sims got a phone call about adopting a baby from africa. and another instance when someone called saying my great grandfather left me $900 or something. sims one was the most fun.
HEY the original sims had THE BEST expansion packs. The sims 2 enhanced them and sims 3 hasn't done anything yet but they have come up with interesting ideas. I think livin large and makin magic were the best sims expansion packs though.
The expansion packs are too repetitive. Late Night is basically Nightlife.
The Sims (1) was the best. Sure, the graphics were shit, but the gameplay was fun and didn't worry about being realistic. It was so wacky and provided for endless entertainment. My personal favorite EPs were Makin' Magic and Superstar.
Gameplay of sims 1 + graphics of sims 2* + no loading screens of sims 3 = the perfect game
1st of all sims in sims 3 arent ugly sims in sims 3 look the best out of every sims game, secondly sims 1 was NOT the best one sims 3 was i love sims i play sims 3 everyday and i love my sims.
The best part of sims is having a HUGE family and creating the craziest lives for them, but with sims 3 it's super hard to do that and if you do then it's not fun. Sims 2 dominates.period.
Sometimes I feel that way and start missing my old sims, but then the restrictive lots and constant loading screens drive me right back again.

No way sims 3 is awesome! But I do sometimes miss sims 2..

And remember the commercials for The Sims 1? Hilarious.
Sims 3 doesn't have very many expansion packs yet...

I think the ones in sims 3 look better, the ones in 2 look more cartoony, at least my friend's sims do.
I guess it just depends on if you know your way around sims 2 body shop. I don't think any of my sims in sims 3 look pretty. They all look doughy.
mine look alright. It could be your computer, because mine look like crap on my grandparent's but look good on mine.
My computer is fine..I guess I just haven't played it enough to figure out the facial features and what I like and don't like.

I do that with the sims 2 right now. I will probably do that when I get into the sims 3 more.

I'm sure after TS3 gets more expansion packs, they'll change their minds.
I actually find the sims 3 graphics annoying

Omg! Yes! The good old days hahah.
exactly. everythings is way to digi- for me now. :
we should all just be thankful that we're not still playing The Sims Hot Date.

Hell yes.
TS2 is good for cheats and stuff like that, but TS3 is good for designing more realistic sims.
