On the last day of 6th grade I said "see ya later" to one of my friends, I never saw her again, even though she lives 4 blocks from my house.

I know what you mean. I was about to shoot this guy and I said "See ya!" and then I was like "...wait a minute..." but it was too late I had already pulled the trigger. Talk about awkward!
