Hate to be a buzzkill, but a ground zero is the place of a nuclear bomb going off (Hiroshima, Nagasaki). But still this post was very clever, cool points given.

Maybe it's a huge controversy because the people who want to build the mosque are the ones with the people who are trying to KILL us. They're just trying to see how far they can push us before we finally set our foot down. Personally, I think the mosque at Ground Zero would e the perfect time.

its the context in the sentence. the people that want to build the mosque are muslim, yes. but theres no reason to bring that up unless you're trying to imply that they shouldnt build the mosque for that reason, which is, as i said before, ignorant.

Before anyone has a go at me read this bit: I agree with this post and its message, it's a good message. But I don't agree with a lot of comments saying OP is clever; OP is pointing out the obvious here guys. If you didn't already know that the US was bombing Iraq then you really need to catch up with the world. While OP is right, it's not because they're particularly clever, OP is observant.

To the people who are saying americans are assholes, don't you think that's a bit close minded? It bothers me that you've met just a few in your life and have the assumption that we're all assholes. Saying you've never met one that you didn't hate doesn't mean that you WOULD hate all of us. Just because we're from America doesn't mean we're bad people. We may be a bit carefree and we may think we're better than other people. I'll give you that. If you're calling us assholes for starting war with Iraq, i might slightly agree with that but it doesn't seem that's the case. Idk I feel like i'm rambling now. Idk i'm just going to keep going. Muslims attacked our towers. we attacked their churches. When Japan bombed Pearl Habor we bombed Hiroshima. We're not the kind of country to get shit on and then have people expect us not to react.
