Not trying to sound ignorant or anything, but I'm not 100% sure of the difference. i DO know they are two very different words and I try not to use ironic in the place of coincidence. Could someone please write examples of when you would use each one? Thanks.
It is confusing and I don't blame you.
I get confused a lot.
But I'll try and give some good examples.
Irony: A firetruck catches on fire. It is ironic because you would not expect something that prevents and stops fires to be on fire.
Coincidence: When you are in the same class as someone two years in a row. It's interesting, but not really completely unexpected.
Hope that helps. Hope I'm not completely wrong. :/
WHY CAN I NOT CLICK THE "YEAH YOU ARE" BUTTON MORE THAN ONCE.
good question
That's what Bo Burnham said
It's like rain on your wedding day.
Only it isn't.
