+371 People go on about how there needs to be more plus size models, but really, if you had the choice of being overweight or slim (SLIM not anorexic model skinny) you would choose slim. People have abused food and become overweight, don't get mad when some celebrities eat sensibly and exercise, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a lot of overweight people are born fat and cant get rid of the extra fat, no matter what they do. models dont eat "sensibly", they get botox and liposuction.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You don't know that. A LOT of models don't do that. It's the ones that do that give models a bad name. Saying that all models get botox and liposuction is saying all athletes do steroids.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i didnt say all models get that, but most do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU! most people think i'm over weight from poor choices when in reality its just because i am naturally a bigger girl and there is nothing i can do about it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sure there is. I'm sick of people coming up with excuses for themselves. Eat healthy and exercise.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i do and i have all my life. very rarely do i eat junk and i work out twice a week and go for walks at least every other night. my doctor said i am perfectly healthy just a few pounds over weight and there is nothing i can really do to lose those pounds unless i starve myself. i'm happy with who i am i just wish people such as yourself would stop judging me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no one is judging you. I think this is more aimed at the grossly overweight slobs on motorised scooters that see a hot model and go "look at that skinny bitch, she thinks shes so fucking fantastic becasue she looks like a fake barbie. Why don't they get some REAL *points to her own jiggling bosoms* women up there, I am just as sexy as her"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

those kind of girls annoy me. i think everyone should just aim to be healthy and not care about body type.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyone is born fat... it's called baby fat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

did you notice how it said they are born fat and "cant get rid of it"? Yes they have baby fat but if you look at kids around 6 or 7 they are probably skinnier because they lost that weight. But some people keep it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's only a small percentage, who *actually* have some kind of disorder.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're not born fat. You're not born 300+ lbs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, they do *not* eat sensibly... and they have personal trainers in addition to the aformentioned medical cheats. AND they retouch the photos a lot of times to make them even skinnier!! It's ridiculous. Anyone who judges themselves by magazine pictures is never going to be happy, because by and large that shit is not real. Oh yeah, and we want more plus-sized models because some people actually like women who have curves, instead of straight lines.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a difference between curves and fat. Curvy is when a woman has big breasts and big hips. She can be thin and be curvy. Having fat bulging out everywhere is NOT curvy. That's overweight, which is not healthy. So no, we don't need more plus sized models. Also, some girls have naturally thinner body types. There's no need to insult them with the whole "real women have curves." bull shit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU. everyone is always saying "real women have curves" and seem to forget how insulting that is to people who were born with a very slim, straight body!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know exactly what you mean. I also hate it when magazines just call anyone who isn't a size zero 'curvy'... For example katy perry and beth ditto. Katy perry is curvy. Beth ditto is just obese. They shouldn't have the same label!

What about us average folks? You know not plus size but certainly not skinny. No one ever mentions us

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think people really mean to say that there needs to be more normal-sized models. It's always either extreme; super anorexic skinny or plus size. The models that start of normal are always forced to get skinnier, and if a plus sized model lost a few pounds they'd be fired.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

some models who are considard plus size are actually normal size. plus size ranges from size 6-12 so if you are over a size four, you are considard a plus size model.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that it would be great if all body types were represented in the fashion industry. Most models are naturally very thin, as they have tall and slender frames; but it would be great if there were models who were pear shaped, or had broad shoulders. Additionally, plus size models aren't necessarily overweight, they might just have thicker frames.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(That person): thicker frames? yea aka "fat", skeletons have only one frame; fat is what makes a person, not their frame.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really, like some people are naturally tall or short, someone's frame might be naturally thicker or thinner. There are three body classifications: an ectomorph, a naturally thin, flat chested, more angular body type a mesomorph, a naturally athletic person, or an hour glass shape an endomorph, a rounder and softer build All body types should be represented in the fashion industry, not just ectomorphs. Everybody is different.

It bothers me when people hate on people who are overweight. It's not like every overweight person is a lazy fatty who has no willpower and can't find it in them to get on a treadmill. Lately, it seems like its socially acceptable to criticize their eating habits or their self control. Everybody has faults, and being an asshole about someone else's isn't going to help them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The fat chicks who think they're hot don't agree with this.
