+152 'Teen pregnancy is 100% preventable!' Yeah it's called not having sex while you're still a teen, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Sometimes not willingly having sex doesn't work either. There are a lot of cases where drinks were spiked or just plain peer pressure takes away self will

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because if you're being peer pressured it's not your fault. y

so an 18 or 19 year old shouldn't be having sex? i can understand 13 and 14 cause they are still kids, but to say teenagers shouldnt have sex full stop... well that's a bit patronising.

true love waits

by Anonymous 13 years ago

waits until what?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it waits until marriage. for some people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Marriage should be something that lasts forever. Sex doesn't have to be cheap and for a lot of people, you don't fall in love with just one person. To be able to have that connection with someone can be so powerful. Plus, you would have the problem of 18 year olds getting married and wasting their lifes, and you would proberly just complain about that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wouldn't complain if an 18 year old gets married. if they really love that person and can still go to college without issues, it's fine.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well if your fine about people making a life long commitment at 18, why do you have a problem with them having sex?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

cuz that marks the day when you lose your virginity. you don't wanna tell your future husband 'oh i hooked up with jimmy at 18, then rob at 20, etc.'

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would not marry a man who didn't respect my choices and I wouldn't even be friends with a man who thought virgins were better people than non-virgins.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok then dont complain if HE decides ti wait until marriage.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He doesn't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If someone is married, it doesn't mean that they're ready for a child.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Actually, true love doesn't give a damn if your wearing a ring or not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've been happily sexually active since I was 14, I've never got pregnant or contracted any stds, nothing bad has ever happened. If you're not a moron and use protection its not an issue.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm okay with consensual teenage sex, but I do want to point out that you can use protection, not be a moron, and still get pregnant. Glad it hasn't happened to you girls, but that doesn't mean all pregnant girls made a mistake. They could have just been unlucky.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm almost positive that quote is pushing abstinence anyways.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This is a true and utterly useless fact. Wars are preventable too. It's called not fighting.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yes, teen pregnancy is 100% preventable through abstinence. But birth control has a pretty high success rate. It's more important to inform teens of the risks involved with sex, and talk to them about how to know when they're ready, than to outright forbid it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I waited until I was 18. Figured I was responsible enough at that time.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Maybe I'm just lonely, but I'm 14 and opportunity never arose. Opportunity is just as important as safety.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

ono Sex is so much more than just vaginal penetration.
