But another "major" part is the derpy!war between the "vampires" and the "werewolves"/shapeshifters, so technically it'd be a shapeshifter movie, too, by that standard.

but the werewolfs arent even introduced until the second movie. in the first that trio of vampires are still attacking people and trying to get Bella. the entire second half of the movie is about the Cullens trying to protect Bella frm the vampires.

If you're going to argue about a book with "werewolfs" in it, at least pluralize werewolves correctly. And yes, the book has vampires involved, but that doesn't make it a vampire book. The genre is typically characterized by the main plot or theme, which in this case is Edward and Bella's "romance," or if you'd care to see it from an Anti's perspective, is Edward's "godliness". That being said, the genre is either a romance or some type of irritating and thankfully untapped genre, hopeless infatuation.

What I meant was that vampire films used to action movies like blade ect. This movie is more of a drama and has added a little action but should not be compared to older vampire films
