if people in reality shows need surgery they shouldnt show them having the actual surgery, amirite?

My sister was watching two shows when I came home one day, and just as I walked into the living room, she switched to a show with doctors on it, just as they were showing a video of somebody getting their foot cut open in surgery. I've never been disturbed so much by feet.

If the person going into surgery consents and they have a warning about graphic content, why not?
