+567 It seems like most people forget there are books other then HP and Twilight, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I Love You :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks. If this gets homepaged I'll be pissed, because I posted it anonymously...I thought it would be hated on for some reason.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol (: Nobody can no way this without being a major douche or an obsessed fan ;D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly my thought. I think there are other books that are just as good, but just don't become as popular.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. I have read both AMAZING FANTASTICAL books, sure, I like them. But I like other books a lot more tbqh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would NOT describe Twilight as "AMAZING FANTASTICAL" and yes, I read the entire series (I never leave a series unfinished, no matter how much they suck)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're good books. But the obsessed MOVIE fans kind of ruin it for everyone. They set the expectations way high.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read Twilight before it got all popular. They were okay, but not as amazing as some people make it out to be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read them when everyone was reading them, but my sister read the first book or two a while before it got hyped up and didn't like it. @483486 (Anonymous): Yeah I know what you mean.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha. I read the whole thing, and didn't regret it. It wasn't a total waste of time, but as you said it wasn't that great either. Still, it's really annoying how people obsessively bash or worship it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not a basher or worshiper, I just like good books. Twilight didn't exactly meet my standards...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And that's mostly because the book isn't a movie. Most people don't read, they watch. And that kind of makes me mad cause the people can't really argue over the Twighlight books or HP Series without reading them? It kind of makes you a douche.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. Most HP fans (for example) haven't even read the books. That's why it sucks they made Percy Jackson (for another example) into a movie, because it totally butchered the book. That's why I'm mad they're making Maximum Ride and The Hunger Games into movies, because we'll have obsessed "fans"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I just watched that movie last night. x) I was kinda confused because I wasn't paying 100% attention, but oh well. I haven't read that book. I am, though, reading Pretty Little Liars, and the show is really bad in comparison

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I haven't read that. I'm more of an action/adventure/fantasy kind of reader.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had been reading Wicked before PLL, which is a pretty hard book, when I started PLL it was so much easier and girlier-ish that I was like o.o

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I loved Wicked.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm like 2/3 of the way in it. I'm seeing the broadway play this fall so I decided to read it, but I don't think I'll have time to after summer :c

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The play is absolutely amazing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I believe some books can be made into movies like Coraline (for example) was a good book to movie because it was a short book and they didn't change a lot in it. But some books, especially longer books just shouldn't be made into movies because there's to much in the book to catch.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coraline was amazing, both the book and movie. That's why Maximum Ride is (probably) going to suck. Same with The Hunger Games, two more good books ruined (possibly)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Also, I just finished It by Stephen King and I heard that was a movie. Although I am already sure that it will suck, I'm curious on what the movie is like too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The only It movie I've heard of had a clown (or something like that) is that what the book was about? I've never read it, but I love King.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes. Although I'm only fourteen. I enjoyed the book. Have you seen the movie?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. Apparently it's creepy though (or so the internet and a few people I know say so) which I guess means it's okay. Creepy and King novels go hand in hand, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wait, they're making hunger games into a move? that sucks, i was totally disappointed when I saw percy jackson, I can only imagine how bad the hunger games will be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. I heard it on here, because that's where I get all my news. There might be hope though, Suzanne is writing the screen play (or so it is rumored). But I heard (on this site, and a few others) that Vannessa Hudgens might be cast as Katniss...*facepalm*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Vannessa Hudgens......isn't she a wee bit too soft to play Katniss?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yep. That was kind of my thought. They should get some little known actress. I think it will ruin the whole thing if "the chick from HSM" plays her...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What?! What is THIS?? more books than twilight and.. HARRY POTTER? This is insanity.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bahahahaha !xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I swear, the movie bizz is dying and they're trying to save it by ruining good books by making them into movies and all of them are failing big time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. The true fans a pissed, but the people who never read the book are like "OMG! SO AWESOME!"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate that, if they really wanted to see it as a movie, they would get off their lazy asses and READ THE BOOK FIRST. Apparently that's to hard,

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. Some people are like "Harry Potter's like 700 pages...I'll just see the movie, same difference." You can totally tell when chatting about books who only saw the movie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think I can thank you enough for this post, ahah.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're welcome. I should've posted it on my account, it got a bigger response then expected.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This makes me die a little inside.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're making Maximum Ride a movie?! I read the first one, about Angel's Experiment, when I was 9-10, I believe. Then I read the other 2 in 6th grade. They were AMAZING and I always finished them in one day. If the movie completely fails, I will seriously cry. D: On a sidenote, VANESSA HUDGENS AS KATNISS?! NO EFFING WAY. I died a little inside when I read that comment.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, either her or Kristen Stewart. What a fail. Kristen Stewart is also being considered to play Max, or so I've heard. Just shoot me now. Also: Thanks for the response guys, dumb Anonymous posts are ruining my average...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That theory has never been proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*than

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No freaking way! I thought the world was composed of Twilight fans and HP fans! </sarcasm>

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cirque Du Freak, Gregor the Overlander, and the Animorphs are awesome.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Memoirs of a Geisha, Pride and Prejudice and Misery are where it's at for me right now. They're all such amazing books. :3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it seems like a lot of people on here are fans of MLIA, amirite? but in agreement, 'remarkable creatures' by tracy chevalier is an awesome book :)
