+352 There is no such thing as an unforgivable sin. God loves us and will forgive us. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what if someones gay?.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no god

by Anonymous 13 years ago

god isn't real. and gay is better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i concur

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hey anonymous, your a fag, god exists, and yu can suck anonymous's dick, so all three of you, which is anonymous anonymous and anonymous, can have a gay orgy party XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im not gay but being gay is much better than believing in god. and isnt worshipping a male thing gay?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not if it's religion, u athiest fuck

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, you see thats not an insult to me because i think atheist's are superior, so calling me that is actually a compliment. if you called me religious (therefore also implying im gay) then id be insulted

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... It's not gay to worship God. God is genderless, it is only because when the Bible was translated to English, French, etc that God was given the pronoun He, because most modern languages do not have a unisexual pronoun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that was the most clever shit i've ever seen, you should blog about it. and i agree about that what anonymous non athiest said. if you took God from latin and you were talking about God and you said that he/she/it is almighty and powerful, then he she and it are the same word. So your really not saying God is a dude, so he is genderless, but omnipotent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

religion is a lie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

quite right

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why do you have to choose between believing in God and being gay? Though I am a christian, I believe that God doesn't descriminate against gays- he loves all of his children.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because atheists don't listen to other people they just think they're naturally smarter than religious people

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'M an atheist, and I don't think I'm naturally smarter than anyone religious. The majority of my family is religious, and I respect their beliefs. I simply don't follow them. I know many other atheists who have a similar state of mind, so please put a sock in your keyboard because your statements towards atheists are quite like some previous atheist comments towards religious people. You aren't acting any better. (Oh, sweet peaches that was long. And some parts probably don't make any sense, but I can't really bring myself to care enough to edit a comment too much.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This comment is SUCH a steryotype. I'm an athiest, and I would never DREAM of attacking someone's religion. It's infuriating that people cannot see how hurtful it can be to deface somebody's beliefs. I was rejected by EVERY ONE of my religious friends when I told them I was an athiest. I can't stand it that people are enraged by racism and sexism, but no one cares about torturing someone about their religious beliefs. Your comment can be compared to saying that all Muslims are terrorists. Or that all Christains are obnoxious.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its obvious thats all the same person talking to them selves like theres more people that agree

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just don't give in to the trolls guys

by Anonymous 13 years ago

god is neither a man or a woman dumbass -.-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

About the gay orgy thing. Its not an insult because apparently god will forgive him. I mean come on people use your judgement here. There is no higher power that will forgive give you for a murder. You to jail and get the chair. Im sry your puny mind cant comprehend the fact that you will die so you decide that you will go to heaven instead. Id like you to name one religious person that has invented something very important within the last hundred years.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm atheist, too, but a Mormon invented TV...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OK but i mean people like Newton and Da Vinci these people were unbelievably smart and they didnt have religion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry but you obviously have lost your way and in doing so you became rude and discriminating to others religions , I believe in Go d and if you don't , it doesn't matter, we are all equal NO ONE is supreme.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thanks

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and you, mister mister are one lil douchebag and you seriously should respect someone elses opinions unless you know for a fact their wrong and respect others' beliefs, whats ur SN for amirite, dont be a fucking pussy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is much more to religion than what is right and wrong. It helps you create spiritual balance and makes you a better person thus making you have a better life. I, personally, believe there is a one and only God.So if you would like to waste your time bothering people about THEIR beliefs then worrying about your own... well thats your decision, I guess.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I completely agree, and I'm an athiest. Religion (or lack thereof) should be a personal thing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it doesn't really mean anything except what you want it to mean.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then why's there hell?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think it's for the people who sin but don't ask for forgiveness... but idk

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For the people who don't ask for forgiveness.God certainly does exist. It is stupid to believe otherwise. How did we end up on the earth? How did the miracle of birth come to be? How did the miracle of rain, the precise process of condensation, evaporation and all that come to exist? The planning of GOD. He exists, and it makes me sad to know that people believe otherwise.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, so I'm Christian and believe in God, and I'm not trying to disagree with you or anything... I just have a question: Why do people go to hell then? I've always wondered that. If God forgives everyone, then why is there a hell?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For people that don't know god. You know, like they're not saved.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you must ask for forgiveness.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah does hitler get to go to heaven if he asked for forgiveness? I think not

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(No one special): You have to truly see the errors in your ways and repent. I doubt Hitler would ever disagree with his actions.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There actually is an unforgivable sin, it is rejecting salvation or something like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I believe it's blasphemy against the holy spirit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, but I just spent fifteen minutes getting preached to about god from a random guy of the street, so any mention of god pisses me of instantly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

there are some people in the world that should not be forgiven.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I disagree

by Anonymous 13 years ago

good for you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously, religion should not be a topic of amirite. i know im going to get bitched out for this, but this is supposed to be a fun site, not about religion, abortion, gay rights, or anything super contraversial.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I totally agree with you. I'm not being sarcastic either...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree, too. I know it's not the intent of the poster, but sometimes I feel like I'm being preached to on here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

me too..and it sucks when people, like me, really dont believe in god. i don't want to come accross as a bitch, but its annoying!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So are random comments and posts that obviously try to say that God doesn't exist. It's not a one way street people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*whispers* I want to let you know, that i respect you. -- no but seriously i agree people get to worked up about religion so dont post shit about it or make comments making fun of others about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NOOOOOO! Stop! You are defeating the purpose of organized religion, which is to scare us all into behaving for fear of never ending torment!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So many unbelievers out there it's quite sad, God is out there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why can't we just all agree that, as long as we're alive and on earth, there's no way of knowing what happens after we die?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There are, however, unforgivable curses.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

avada kedavra AHHH SHIT IM GOING TO AZKABAN

by Anonymous 13 years ago

guys, don't talk to anonymous, the son of a bitch is just asking for a fight.lets not talk about this religion stuff ok? drop it. and ignore anonymous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We had this debate in FNW at school about whether being gay is a "sin" or an automatic ticket to Hell. Needless to say, I was attacked by a lot of Christians, and my gay friend actually walked out the room. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm religious, being gay isn't an automatic ticket to hell, religious people that hate on gays are doing wrong, hate the sin not the person

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm religious, being gay isn't an automatic ticket to hell, religious people that hate on gays are doing wrong, hate the sin not the person

by Anonymous 13 years ago

being gay is not a sin. you can't group being gay with things like murder, theft, and rape. Be proud of who you are. There is no proof that there is in fact a god, so you shouldn't be afraid of what he thinks of you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you mean being gay by just Been attracted to the same sex then that is just a temptation to overcome If you act on those feeling, then yes it is a sin, sexual relations before marriage are a sin; wether it's gay or straight

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It isn't just some temptation you can get over or ignore. It's how you were born, and how you were made to feel. So tell me this, if your God is so against people being gay, then why would he make them that way?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If god loves us why would he put us through any pain or suffering? Without any of It we wouldn't learn and become stronger people. I was born with feelings for the opposite sex, but I'm sure as heck if I dwelt upon liking boys I could learn to be attracted to them; so how is it impossible for gays to like the opposite sex?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, actually, I'm pretty sure that you would not turn gay if you did that. it's not a choice, it's something you're born with. and you can't change it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But it isn't what they want, and it's not what they need to be happy. If there was a God, and he loved all of us, don't you think he would want us to be happy? As long as we aren't hurting others to get happy, it shouldn't matter. Gay is not a sin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I dont want to wear school uniforms but the school rules make me. But it makes me happy to wear casual? But I still have to follow it because it is breaking rules. God has his commandments, is there a way to be gay without breaking those commandments? If so let them do it!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By the way I'm not talkin about bein attracted to the same sex, I mean committing homosexuality

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Committing homosexuality"? it's not a crime! Murder is a crime, assault is a crime, theft is a crime, but being in love with someone, regardless of their gender, is in no way a crime! If your "God" thinks true love is a crime, maybe he isn't as great as you seem to think.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry I never said it was a crime? Are we talking about the law of the land or gods commandments? Seems like your talking about the law? It's a sin. It may be accepted by the world today but the lord does not accept it, just like premarital sex, it's acceptable in todays society, doesn't mean it's right. The world changes over time, god does not. The commandments were the same as they always were, they are not going to change tomorrow no matter how much the world changes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i am religious, but the bible also says not to interact with a woman while she is on her period. if god looks at the world today im not sure he would consider it bad to do that, and i truly believ it applys

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Who cares if God doesn't accept it? So we should just listen to a god that we don't even know exists? Sorry, but that's not what I do. If "God" can't accept his "children" for who they are, then he's not much of a God, now is he?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think what the op was trying to say.. was that if you start living for God, then he will forgive you. But honestly, you cannot live a sinful lifestyle and hope to just ask for forgiveness and then go right back to the way you were. If you are serious about following God, then God will seriously forgive you, wipe the slate clean.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly, it's all in your attitude and sincerity If you live a life of sin you might say sorry for it, but do you really mean it? Same as If you do something and think, 'I can always repent later' it doesn't work like that :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think you should post a follow up saying something like that. I dont like comments that say, "imma rape everyone in sight then say sorry".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is in fact an unforgivable sin...suicide is unforgivable because you cannot ask for forgiveness once you are dead. therefore you are commiting a sin and not asking forgiveness...that is why it is UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not quite. But if it makes you feel better you can pat yourself on the back for trying to come up with an exception to an actual serious question. good job.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um that isn't true at all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is in fact an unforgivable sin...suicide is unforgivable because you cannot ask for forgiveness once you are dead. therefore you are commiting a sin and not asking forgiveness...that is why it is UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Except blasphemy isnt that unforgivable?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Taking another person's parking spot is unforgivable.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh man It's something about God, better start a 90 comment conversation about how he doesn't exist

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you actually believe that a murder or a rapist can go to heaven, but an atheist who has never been anything but kind will go to hell? That's fucked up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@495714 (oldtimer): It depends on the Murderer or rapist. If that person was serious about turning their life around and was committed to being a Christian than yes they will go to heaven. But if that person just got saved and continued with their old lifestyle than I would think that person would have trouble getting into the pearly gates. Everybody deserves a second chance.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

okay so i love you all, but could you stop with the religion posts already?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you had a son that was doing the wrong thing; let say for example he was doing drugs. Would you sit back and not encourage him to not do so? Would you just 'accept' thats how he is and thats what he wants to do? Even if it ruins his life and leads to crime and breaking other laws? And I'm guessing you will ask what this has to do with homosexuality, well if you act upon your feelings towards the same sex then you commit sins; there is no way to be homosexual and not commit sins, unless you just have the attraction and do not act further upon it God wants the best for us like a father would want for his child, he gave us commandments and prophets to guide us to help us stay out of sin and live happily. Sure you wont have the perfect life even if you strife whole heartedly to keep his commandments, but thats part of this life and his plan for us to try and test us to become better people. And God does exist; I know that for a fact, in many different ways, many miracles i've ...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...witnessed, personal revelation through the holy ghost, and just common sense tells me there is a higher power out there and there is a purpose to this life. Sure science provides concrete evidence, but nothing that science has proved contradicts religion. Emphasis on the word PROVED; they may have their theories but they are yet to prove them. I'm not going to argue further on, because nothing positive really comes out of this. Even if I 'win' this argument, its not like your going to promise to go to church and see for yourself; and visa versa.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Meant to use proven not proved -.-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Im dont belebe in god because if he was real why does he make some people suffer

by Anonymous 13 years ago

free will.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is a dangerous thinking. You can do whatever you do because you believe that there is no unforgivable sin. Sorry, but I don't agree. There are unforgivable sins. I'm speaking about the Bible. If you have been bad before you have known the Word of God, what is right or wrong, if you were a killer but you changed because you have known His teachings, it's forgivable if you repent and be baptised. But if you have known his teachings and you intentionally sin, then even repentance would not save you. And please, God doesn't hate gays. Those scriptures you have read were not explained by your pastor/priest/minister. God wants EVERYBODY to be saved. And there is a God. We are not a coincidence.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My bible, specifically Romans, carefully explains that there is no more forgiveness. Either you believe in Jesus and are saved or you don't believe and are lost.
